Obedience and Praise

PRAISE ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth in greatly in his commandments. Psalms 112:1

Psalm 112 links two powerful principles: obedience and praise. One of the most important ways that we can praise God is by obeying Him. As believers who have been saved by a risen Christ, we must worship our Creator, not only with our prayers and our words, but also with our actions.
Are you greatful for God's glorious gifts? Are you thankful for the treasure of eternal life that is yours through the sacrifice of God's Son Jesus? Of course you are. And one of the best ways to express your gratitude to God is through obedience to the unchanging commandments of His Holy Word.

"When you suffer and lose, that does not mean you are being disobedient to God. In fact, it might mean you're right at the center of His will. The path of obedience is often marked by times of suffering and loss." -- Charles Swindoll
